Toddlers to schoolage. Much of New England.

*Please click on the links below the show descriptions (or see the FAQ’s) for details on price and other logistics.

Dino-Dig
Learn about pre-historic times by performing hands-on activities. Set out on an excursion to find bones, fossils, etc. Make fossils. Hide in a “cave” from T-Rex. Ideal ages:  2-6. Indoors and outdoors.

Outer Space Adventure
Children become astronauts, artists and asteroids! They fly in a "spaceship” to the “moon”, do arts and crafts, and make craters—all inside and around several tents. Ideal ages:  2-8. Indoors only.

Camping & Hiking
Make camp, go on a hike, pump and filter water, get “lost”, demo real equipment. It’s like you’re on an actual camping trip…even visited by a “bear”? Ideal ages:  2-10. Indoors and outdoors.

Winter Ski & Slide
Ride on skis, demo ice climbing equipment and snowshoes, watch a slide show, learn about sled dogs…even get pulled by a “sled dog”. Ideal ages:  2-7. Indoors only.

A major key to the success of the shows is the station-to-station structure to maintain attention. We keep it interactive, move to the next station, then do it again.

Another factor in the success of the shows is the combination of sheer fun and learning. We love to perform, even be silly, and the children are thoroughly entertained. But we are sure to integrate plenty of educational opportunities through hands-on activities.

We devote a great deal to setting the scene so their imagination can take over—so it’s like they’re actually on a camping trip, or a dinosaur dig. Is a bear really going to visit us at the end of the show? Did T-Rex really walk in this sandbox millions of years ago and cause this fossil to form that I just dug up?

From a value-added standpoint, it’s a "win-win" - entertainment and educational
enrichment. And when the children bring home achievement certificates issued by Outside The Box after an Outer Space Show, for example, we hear great feedback from parents and other caregivers.
