How will
I make this work at my location?
We have given our shows in parking garages, corporate boardrooms,
classrooms, ballfields, etc. We can present the shows just about
anywhere—we
make it happen. We can make due with a very small space, or use
an expansive one. If necessary, we move furniture, clear playground
equipment, etc. Typically, we give the shows in a classroom or on
a playground. Camping & Hiking and Dino-Dig can be given inside or
out, while Outer Space Adventure and Winter Ski & Slide are indoor
shows.
What is the
price?
The fees typically range from $175 to $245 per vist, depending
on how many groups you have.
How long is each show? How long is the total visit?
Each show is approximately 45 minutes (depending on group size
and age), it takes 5-10 minutes between shows to reset and the combined
set-up and breakdown time before and after the event is about 45
minutes.
What is the ideal group size and number
of groups per
visit?
We can, and typically do, present to more than one group per
outing. A typical group size is anywhere from 8 to 25 children.
This is
just a guideline. We often present to group sizes outside
of this range. Typically,
we break up into groups according to age, based on your input.
For example, we could give a very quick show for toddlers,
one for preschool and one
for pre-k. Most often, our customers have one, two, three
or four groups per visit.
Regarding age
We have carefully constructed our presentations to suit each
respective age group. Ages typically range from 2 - 10.
The upper end of the age range will vary depending on which
show you choose. Toddlers, for example, enjoy a simplified presentation.
Details are integrated progressively as the
age increases from
preschool,
to kindergarten
and to school age.
We’ve tested these shows for several
years on the most important critics—the children. We’ve
also received valuable feedback from teachers and directors;
Because of this
feedback, we feel that we’ve
got a winning formula regarding age and curriculum content. How
far do you travel?
So far, we have presented our shows in four states: MA,
NH, RI and CT. We do not charge mileage fees. Please call
to make sure we can make it to your location.
Whom do you service?
Childcare entities (such as daycare, nursery school, after-school,
preschool, pre-k, kindergarten, school age, etc.), other
schools, camps, churches, parties and other gatherings, social
clubs, resorts, and many
more.
What do we need to provide?
Just the children and the space. We bring all the equipment,
visuals, sounds, etc.
How are you unique and what “value-added” do
you provide?
A major key to the success of the shows is the station-to-station
structure to maintain attention. We keep it interactive, move
to the next station, then do it again.
Another factor in the success
of the shows is the combination of sheer fun and learning. We
love to perform, even be silly, and the children are thoroughly
entertained. But we are sure to integrate plenty of educational
opportunities through
hands-on activities.
We devote a great deal to setting the scene
so their imagination can take over—so it’s like they’re
actually on a camping trip, or a dinosaur dig. Is a bear really
going to visit us at the end of the show? Did T-Rex really walk
in this sandbox
millions of years ago and cause this fossil to form that I
just dug up?
From a value-added standpoint, it’s a "win-win" -
entertainment and educational
enrichment. And when the children bring home achievement certificates
issued by Outside The Box after an Outer Space Show, for
example, we hear great feedback from parents and other caregivers.
